Best NBA Bets Today: Dejounte Murray Dishing Out Assists Against Houston

The NBA is back in action on Friday with a 14-games scheduled across the league. Be sure to keep an eye on injury updates and player statuses throughout the afternoon. There are several player props that stand out in the Hawks-Rockets and Wizards-Heat matchups. Let’s dive into the best NBA bets for Friday, Nov. 25.

Best NBA Bets Today: Game Tips & Betting Predictions

Hawks-Rockets Bets

The Hawks travel to Houston for a quick one-game road trip against the Rockets on Friday. The Atlanta Hawks have an 11-7 record, splitting their last eight games. The Houston Rockets are in full-force tank mode starting the season off 3-14. These two teams faced off in the season opener with the Hawks securing a 117-107 victory at home. Can Atlanta take advantage of a young Rockets roster that will be without several starters on Friday and secure back-to-back wins for the first time since early November?

The Rockets are the worst team in the league. They rank bottom-three in defense and bottom-four in offensive rating. Houston is averaging 109.1 points on 44.1% shooting and allowing 116.4 points to opponents. Alperen Sengun (groin) and Eric Gordon (groin) will both miss Friday’s contest. The Rockets are coming into this game well rested with four full days off, last playing at home against Golden State on Nov. 20. Despite a 3-14 record, they have been able to keep games within the spread holding an 8-8-1 record against the spread this season.

Atlanta is averaging 115.2 points on 46.5% shooting and allowing 114.4 points to opponents. Trae Young leads the team in assists averaging 9.4 assists per game, while Dejounte Murray is second averaging 7.1 assists. Murray’s assist prop has value in tonight’s matchup with the line sitting at 6.5 assists. He is averaging 7.1 assists on 12.3 potential opportunities this season.

The Houston Rockets have struggled defensively this season and that will be a problem against the Atlanta Hawks who have a great backcourt and can put up a ton of points in a hurry. Dejounte Murray has exceeded six assists in nine of 18 games thus far. The Rockets are allowing 27 assists to opponents per game – 25th in the league. Murray posted 11 assists in their season opener against Houston. Do not anticipate him to put up 11 assists again tonight but have confidence in him finishing with seven or more on Friday.

Best NBA Bet for Hawks-Rockets: Dejounte Murray Prop: OVER 6.5 Assists

Wizards-Heat Bets

Washington will face off with Miami for the third time in the last week. The Heat were able to break their four-game losing streak with a 113-105 victory over the Wizards on Wednesday. These two teams will battle once again in Miami on Friday. Look for Bam Adebayo to have another monster night on the boards in this matchup. Take him to go OVER 9.5 rebounds in tonight’s contest.

Adebayo’s rebound line was set at 8.5 rebounds on Wednesday, and he finished the game with 11 rebounds on 21 rebound chances. To put his rebound chances into perspective, Rudy Gobert leads the league with 22.8 rebound chances per game, while averaging 12.6 rebounds per game. Adebayo on the season is averaging 9.4 rebounds on 16.8 rebound chances. He should have no issues exceeding nine rebounds given he sees a similar number of rebound chances. With several of the Heat players either ruled out or listed as questionable, expect 35+ minutes of playing time out of Adebayo.

Washington’s Bradley Beal (thigh), Rui Hachimura (ankle) and Monte Morris (ankle) were all limited participants in the Friday morning shootaround and are listed as questionable. All three had similar participation in the shootaround on Wednesday and neither of them suited up, so keep an eye on status updates leading up to tip-off. Washing is allowing 52.8 rebounds per game to opponents with 11.07 of those rebounds coming from the Center position.

The Miami Heat continue to fight through a roster full of injuries. Jimmy Butler (knee) and Duncan Robinson (ankle) are listed as out. Max Strus (shoulder), Gabe Vincent (knee), Tyler Herro (ankle), and Dewayne Dedmon (foot) are listed as questionable. Caleb Martin (illness) was a new face added to the injury report for Friday listed as doubtful. Adebayo saw 35 minutes in Wednesday’s matchup with Dedmon and Haywood Highsmith both suiting up, so even if both players are active again on Friday, Adebayo should see similar minutes.

Miami will be relying heavily on Adebayo once again to be aggressive crashing the boards in tonight’s matchup. He has posted double-digit rebounds in each of his last three matchups versus Kristaps Porzingis. In addition, he has grabbed 10+ rebounds in five of his last six games overall. Trust Adebayo to lead the team in rebounds against Washington and have confidence in taking the OVER 9.5 boards on Friday.

Best NBA Bet for Wizards-Heat: Bam Adebayo prop: OVER 9.5 Rebounds
