Alabama vs. Ole Miss Prediction and Odds: Jaxson Dart vs Bryce Young Shootout?

The Alabama Crimson Tide has lost two of their last three games, to fellow SEC squads the Tennessee Volunteers and LSU Tigers. This is the first time Alabama has lost two games before the Iron Bowl since 2010. Alabama hasn’t scored more than 31 points in the last two weeks, which isn’t ordinary. Before this, it scored 20 against the Texas Longhorns earlier this season. Can the Ole Miss Rebel give Alabama its third loss?

Ole Miss Offense vs. Struggling Alabama Defense

With Jaxson Dart at quarterback, Ole Miss has played well this year, averaging almost 35 points per game. Dart is completing just over 61% of his passes and targets Malik Heath, Jonathan Mango and Jordan Watkins almost equally. The trio has well over 1,000 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.

Additionally, Ole Miss has running back Quinshon Judkins, who has over 1,000 yards rushing and has scored a touchdown in every game except Week 2 against Central Arkansas (he had just 10 carries).

Over their last three games, the Crimson Tide have allowed 266 yards passing per game and over 93 yards on the ground. Ole Miss is coming off a 390-yard rushing game against the Texas A&M Aggies and will look to continue its offensive output at home against a vulnerable Alabama defense.

Bryce Young Always Gives Crimson Tide a Chance

No matter how poorly the Crimson Tide have performed this season, quarterback Bryce Young has continued to play as well as he can. He had over 300 yards passing in the loss to LSU. This season, he has three games with more than 300 yards passing.

In addition to its passing attack, Alabama has running back Jahmyr Gibbs, averaging nearly 7.0 yards per carry and scoring six touchdowns this year.

Ole Miss ranks 61st in yards passing allowed and 78th in yards rushing allowed per game.

Final Alabama-Ole Miss Prediction & Pick

The Crimson Tide’s chances at making it into the College Football Playoff are dwindling, if not completely ruined. However, the only way for their chances to improve is to continue winning. Laying any points is not advised right now, but this game is set up to be a massive shootout. Both offenses should score given their solid passing and rushing attacks.

Best Alabama-Ole Miss Prediction: Over 65 (-110)
