Best Pac-12 Bets

College Football Odds: USC-UCLA Odds

USC: -2.0 (-110)

UCLA: +2.5 (-110)

Over/Under: 76.0 (-110)

Homefield Advantage Could Sway Bettors

No. 7 USC has a more high-profile quarterback and a more proven defense, but the real concern for the Trojans comes in how they have played on the road this season. While USC’s offense ranks third in the nation, averaging 42.4 points per game, it has topped that average just once on the road — a 45-37 win over Arizona. The Trojans are 3-1 on the road but have taken down the three unranked teams they have faced by an average of 8 points. No. 16 UCLA will be the best team the Trojans have faced on the road.

UCLA, on the other hand, is spearheaded by two elite offensive presences: Quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and running back Zach Charbonnet. Thompson-Robinson has 20 touchdowns through the air and seven on the ground, while Charbonnet is averaging a whopping 7.5 yards per carry. He has 1,145 yards rushing through eight games.

The Bruins are coming off a rough loss to Arizona, which may scare bettors, but Arizona was also a trouble spot for USC. UCLA beat Washington and Utah earlier in the season and put up 40 or more points in both games, so its offense is clearly capable of producing against quality opponents.

UCLA is 4-3 against the spread as the home team, while USC is 2-2 against the spread on the road. Back the Bruins here, especially as underdogs.

Oregon Has the Tools to Cover

The premier matchup of the weekend will be No. 10 Utah traveling to take on No. 12 Oregon.

The Ducks have been playing at an extremely high level behind star quarterback Bo Nix. Nix has 24 touchdowns and five interceptions on the season, having completed 72.8% of his attempts. He has totaled 2,774 yards passing, making him one of the most dynamic passers in the nation. A combination of Nix, Noah Whittington and Mar’Keise Irving has Oregon averaging 239.9 yards per game on the ground as well, the 10th-most yards rushing per game. The Ducks run defense will be the main weapon at their disposal, though, as it allows just 108.2 yards per game on the ground.

Utah, much like Oregon, thrives in the run game, sitting ninth in the nation in yards rushing per game. However, the Utes aren’t proven on the road, and that’s a chief concern. They lost to UCLA by double figures and opened the season losing at Florida. They have only beaten Arizona State and Washington State away from home.

Simply put, Oregon is great at home and Utah is horrible on the road. The Ducks are 4-1 against the spread as the home team, while the Utes are 1-3 against the spread on the road. Back the Ducks to cover here.
