Kansas State vs. TCU Prediction and Odds: Wildcats Look to Play Spoiler

TCU has been enjoying a dream season defying the odds with several last second wins. They now find themselves well positioned to reach the College Football Playoffs for the first time since the new playoff format began in 2015. Before reaching the finale the Horned Frogs will need to defeat Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game this Saturday. There is a lot to breakdown to find the sharpest Kansas State-TCU prediction and pick in this title game matchup.  You can check out the latest Kansas State-TCU odds & trends for the Kansas State-TCU game below, per BetMGM.

CFB Odds: Kansas St-TCU Odds

Kansas St: +2.5 (-110)

TCU: -2.5 (-110)

Moneyline: Kansas St (+115); TCU (-135)

Total: Over 62 (-110); Under 62 (-110)

According to BetMGM’s John Ewing, bettors are unsurprisingly favoring the undefeated TCU team in the championship game.  68% of bets are on TCU to cover the spread, but just 48% of the overall money is on that line. The moneyline is basically even, with 53% of bets and 50% of money coming in on Kansas State at +115. 62% of bets and 77% of money is on the over.

Kansas State traveled to TCU in October and took a 38-28 loss. But they had a 28-17 first half lead before injuries to the quarterback position hurt their chances to pull off the upset. In that game, Kansas State was forced to use Adrian Martinez, Will Howard and Jake Rubley under center. Howard played most the game before going down with an injury, completing 13 of 20 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. The Wildcats will have Howard back at QB for their chance at redemption against the Frogs.

While they have three losses, Kansas State has been playing much better as of late. After the gutting loss to TCU, the Wildcats rolled to wins as underdogs against both Oklahoma State and Baylor, ruining both teams’ chances of winning a championship trophy this season. Not only did they win those matchups, but they did so by an enormous 79-3 combined margin. They had a let up last week, losing 22-17 on the road against Texas, failing to convert on a 4th & 1 down when driving late in the fourth quarter.

Final Kansas State-TCU Prediction & Pick:

Look for Kansas State to get back to their game plan against TCU on a neutral-field with a chance of redemption on the line. A healthier K-State side should prove the adage that it’s tough to beat a team twice in a short period of time.

Final Kansas State-TCU Pick: Kansas State +2.5
