Utah vs. USC Player Props: Cameron Rising Rushing and Passing Yards

It is time to starting thinking about your Utah-USC player props. Heck, maybe even that Cameron Rising prop you’ve been dreaming about or other Utah-USC bets you might be mulling over.

It’s crazy to think that the college football regular season has ended, but some of the most exciting parts of the season are still to come. Championship weekend is here and there’s plenty on the line. With the College Football Playoff still not completely set, there could be some chaos still to ensue this weekend.

The PAC-12 championship will help kick the weekend off as the Utah Utes take on the USC Trojans. If the season ended today, USC would more than likely be in the Playoff. Utah, the conference champion from a year ago, has started to see a much healthier roster than earlier in the season and they look to play spoiler against the Trojans on Friday night. There are some big names going head-to-head on Friday and it is a good time to take a look at some Utah-USC player prop bets.

Utah-USC Player Props

Cameron Rising Prop: UNDER 280.5 Passing Yards and OVER 28.5 Rushing Yards

At the beginning of the season, the Utah Utes were an early contender for a National Championship. At 9-3, while they can no longer look at that as a possibility this season, they still have a chance to take home a PAC-12 title. Cameron Rising has been a major reason why the Utes are still in the spot that they are and there is a great opportunity on Friday to possibly send USC out of the playoff picture.

While Rising has struggled with injuries throughout the season, he is going to be active on Friday night and USC is going to have their work cut out for them as he torched the Trojans for 475 total yards in their previous head-to-head matchup. While USC has some spots in their defense that they struggle with, they are overall a much-improved unit since the beginning of the season and will be ready for Rising on Friday. Look for the under of 280.5 passing yards for Rising as he is projected to throw for 248 by OddsShopper’s projections. While USC will be ready for the pass this time, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Utah try and get it done on the ground so taking the over of 28.5 rushing yards for Rising is a good bet for this championship contest.

Utah-USC Player Props: Austin Jones: OVER 91.5 Rushing Yards

For the USC Trojans, they are one game away from College Football Playoff glory and they realize that a loss on Friday will more than likely bump them out. While the season has not been perfect, they have dominated and sit at that #4 spot ahead of this matchup with Utah. This has been an electric passing offense from the Trojans, but they haven’t been able to get where they are without the running game.

Running back Austin Jones is going to play a key role on Friday if the Trojans want to have success in all phases on the offensive side of the ball. Since Travis Dye went down with an injury, Jones has stepped up to the challenge and has rushed for almost 300 yards combined in the last two games. This Utah defense that the Trojans will be lining up against is strong. They rank 25th in the country in total defense but they have also not seen an offense of this caliber since they both matched up together earlier in the season.

Jones is projected 95 rushing yards by OddsShopper’s projections and since Utah will be incredibly focused on USC’s passing game, Jones is due for a huge night on the ground. Take the over of 91.5 yards for Austin Jones as USC looks to continue to show that they belong in the College Football Playoff discussion.

Utah-USC Bets – Caleb Williams: OVER 33.5 Rushing Yards

One of the most exciting parts of this college football season has been watching quarterback Caleb Williams with this USC offense. Williams is now the Heisman favorite after the dominant performance against Notre Dame last week and he looks to lock up his award in this matchup with Utah. In the last matchup against Utah in October, not only was Williams dynamic through the air, he was able to provide a boost in the run game as well as rushing for 57 yards.

Last Saturday was another example of this as Williams added three touchdowns on the ground in USC’s win over Notre Dame. Utah is going to be ready to play on Friday and their passing defense is elite. Cornerback Clark Phillips III has picked off opposing quarterbacks six times on the year which is good for the top spot in the conference right now. USC should win this game and Williams should still have a good day throwing the ball against this Utah secondary but look for Caleb to provide in the run game as well. Take the over of 33.5 rush yards for Williams as he is projected 34 on the ground by OddsShopper.
