Although the Ravens (7-3) have proven to be one of the most sound teams in the NFL throughout the season, they suffered a scare against the lowly Carolina Panthers in Week 11 before coming away with a 13-3 win.

To make matters worse, quarterback Lamar Jackson was held out of practice Wednesday with a hip injury. He is  expected to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“We had an issue from the game,” Baltimore coach Jim Harbaugh told the Ravens website. “He’s going to play in the game, but I just wanted to hold him back and let him rest today for practice.”

It was the second practice Jackson missed in as many weeks. He did not practice last Friday but played every offensive snap against the Panthers, completing 24 of 33 passes for 209 yards and one interception. Jackson also ran for 31 yards and the game’s lone touchdown.

“November, December football is just about finding a way to win,” Jackson said after the game.”Getting to the playoffs … that’s what it’s all about right now.”

Based on the betting odds, the Ravens will almost certainty be in the playoffs, and Jackson will be looking to make a run at his first Super Bowl championship before becoming a free agent after the season.
