Buccaneers vs. Chiefs Best Player Prop Bet: Fade Clyde Edwards-Helaire on Sunday Night Football (Oct 2)

In a game featuring Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady, our Sunday Night Football player prop bet will be fading running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs with both teams coming off their first losses of the season.

As each looks to regain ground, let’s go to the backfield where we find our best bet of the game.

Best NFL Player Prop | Sunday Night Football Week 4

Clyde Edwards-Helaire O/U 56.5 Yards Rushing + Receiving

Clyde Edwards-Helaire came into this season ready to take full advantage of being the No. 1 back for the Kansas City Chiefs.

That has not been the case.

Other than a 52-yard run in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Chargers, Edwards-Helaire has been inefficient on the ground. Last week against the Colts, he had 7 carries for 0 yards. Yes, zero yards. He was utilized in the passing game as he reeled down 5 catches for 39 yards. That task will be tough on Sunday night as he will face off against the likes of Lavonte David and Devin White, two of the best linebackers in the game.

The Buccaneers did a fantastic job containing Aaron Jones in Week 3. Jones had 15 touches but only went for 47 yards. Jones is one of the premier pass-catching running backs and the Buccaneers made sure they let anybody else beat them but Jones.

Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has been known to use multiple running backs. Veteran Jerick McKinnon has seen his snap count rise each game and rookie Isiah Pacheco is slowly getting his feet wet but has the makings of being a featured back in this explosive offense.

We lost a heartbreaking bet against Edwards-Helaire in Week 2 as he was held to under 30 yards rushing up until the 4th quarter and then broke off a 52-yard run. I trust the Buccaneers defensive front to make it difficult for Edwards-Helaire all game long especially in the passing game. I have CEH projected at 12 touches for 50 yards.

Best NFL Player Prop: Clyde Edwards-Helaire UNDER 56.5 Yards Rushing + Receiving (-115, BetMGM)
