Michael Pittman Jr Fantasy Football Rankings & Analysis: Parris Campbell & Wide Receiver Options in Week 2

The Indianapolis Colts announced star wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. will not be available in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a quad injury.

This is significant fantasy football news that will leave managers scrambling for a late replacement.

The Colts are 3-point favorites across the market, but bouncing back after a tie in Week 1 will get a little harder without Matt Ryan‘s top receiving option.

Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy Football Ranking and Analysis for Week 2

Coming into he season, Stokastic had Pittman ranked as the No. 17 receiver on the board. And before his injury news, we had Pittman at No. 23 on our Week 2 NFL Sit ’em Start ’em Fantasy Football Rankings.

The Colts will have an especially banged up receiver room heading into Sunday, as Alec Pierce had previously been ruled out of Sunday’s tilt with a concussion.

“I’ve pretty much been planning that all week from the beginning of the week knowing we’re going down to Jacksonville,” Colts head coach Frank Reich said of his team’s injuries on Friday. “I wanted to get two really good days Wednesday and Thursday in the heat, working hard and then give our players a chance to recover on Friday and Saturday. Was kind of thinking that the whole way.”

Pittman had a monster Week 1 performance during the tie against the Houston Texans. He had nine receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. Last season, he asserted himself as a force in the NFL with 88 receptions for 1,083 yards and six touchdowns for the Colts.

Parris Campbell moves up on the depth chart without Pittman Jr. However, the receiver ranks No. 68 in our weekly rankings.
