Mike White Fantasy Football Rankings & Analysis: Is the new Jets QB Worth a Shot After Strong Week 12?

It’s now the Mike White show for the New York Jets after the QB was named the team’s starter in Week 12. White shredded the Chicago Bears defense last week in his first start. Lets take a look at Mike White‘s fantasy football rankings & analysis for the Jets Week 13 matchup with the Minensota Vikings to see if he might be worth a waiver wire pickup.

Mike White Fantasy Football Ranking & Analysis

Per our Stokastic weekly quarterback rankings, White (No. 25 on the board) isn’t expect to have another strong fantasy football performance in Week 13. Using our free player compare tool, White projects out at just 15.10 points.

White completed 22 of 28 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s 31-10 win over the lowly Bears. Leading up to the game, Jets head coach Robert Saleh insisted that White was just filling in for Zach Wilson on an interim basis while the former first round pick tries to grow into the team’s offense.

“We’re week-to-week,” Saleh said of his QB1 decision, via SNY. “There’s things we’d love to see Zach accomplish over the course of a quality reset. This is Mike White’s opportunity, that doesn’t change. Mike’s got an opportunity to go stack another great day up this week. When we feel like Zach is ready to roll, he’s gonna roll.”

Luckily for White, the Vikings defense has been relatively weak against opposing quarterback all season long. The Vikings rank No. 25 in fantasy football points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and have allowed at least 300 yards passing in five of their six games games. In last week’s win over the New England Patriots, the Vikings allowed Mac Jones to keep up with their potent offense. The second-year pro out of Alabama completed 28 of 39 passes for 382 yards and two touchdowns.

Even considering that the Vikings have a weak pass defense, it’s still hard to take the gamble on Mike White as a fantasy football option; especially if your team needs this win to book a spot to the playoffs.
