Tua Tagovailoa Injury: Miami Dolphins Quarterback Returns to Bills Game After Possible Concussion

It looked like the Miami Dolphins might be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after taking a massive hit in the first half against the Buffalo Bills. But the Dolphins starter returned to start the second half.

In the first half, Tagovailoa went down hard after being hit by Bills linebacker Matt Milano, and looked wobbly as he was trying to make his way off the field. He was immediately removed and checked for a concussion by the team’s training staff.

The team announced shortly after that the QB was officially questionable to return to the Bills game with a head injury. He was replaced by backup quarterback quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

Tagovailoa is currently leading the NFL with 739 passing yards and has seven touchdowns to go along with three interceptions for the 2-0 Dolphins. The addition of new head coach Mike McDaniel and star receiver Tyreek Hill have played a major role in the Alabama product looking like a franchise quarterback during the beginning of the season.

“Mike has made this kind of a safe area or safe space, if you will, for all of the guys,” Tagovailoa said to the Palm Beach Post. “You know, because if Jaylen is not doing something right, you know, I’m able to tell him. If Tyreek’s not doing something right I’m able to say what I think and same for them to me if I didn’t do something right, they’ll come and hold me accountable. So I think that’s where the being comfortable kind of falls into with the atmosphere Mike created.”

Tagovailoa was 8-10 for 76 yards with a touchdown against the Bills before leaving with injury.
