Best NHL Parlay Bet Tonight | November 19

Fade Edmonton’s Offense Early

There is a Pacific Division tilt with the fourth-place Edmonton Oilers hosting the first-place Vegas Golden Knights. The Oilers have been in poor form recently, losing five of their last seven games.

A big part of this losing streak has been the absence of winger Evander Kane, who is out indefinitely after his wrist got cut by a skate blade in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. This team’s offense is already extremely thin outside of their two superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and Kane’s absence just amplifies this club’s reliance on those two guys to produce much of the offense.

Not only has the offense struggled recently, but Edmonton specifically looks lethargic and uninspired at the beginning of games. Entering this contest, the Oilers have failed to score in the first period in five of their last six games.

Another big problem with this offense is that they rely heavily on special teams for offensive production, which is a trend carried over from last season as well. At 5v5, Edmonton ranks just 24th in the league in goals for per 60 minutes (GF/60).

However, they may not get as many opportunities against a disciplined Vegas team that ranks first in the league in penalty minutes. Additionally, the Golden Knights have a tremendous blue line and a strong goaltender projected to start.

This season, Vegas ranks fifth in the league in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60) at 5v5. Backing up this terrific defense is goaltender Logan Thompson.

Through 12 starts this year, Thompson is 9-3 with a .925 SV% and 2.27 GAA. Among starting goaltenders, he ranks sixth in the league in goals saved above expected per 60 minutes (GSAx/60) at 5v5.

Best NHL Parlay Bet: Oilers First Period Team Total Under 0.5 (+155)

Fade Anaheim’s Offense

Another offense to fade on Saturday night is the Anaheim Ducks, who travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues. Anaheim has registered two or fewer goals in three of its last four games, a trend that should continue in this matchup.

At 5v5 this season, the Ducks rank fourth-last in the league in xGF/60. Projected to take the crease for St. Louis is goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Through 12 starts this year, Binnington is 7-5 with a .905 SV% and 2.98 GAA. Among starting goaltenders, he ranks in the top half of the league in GSAx/60 at 5v5.

While his numbers are solid, Binnington has been particularly dominant over the last week as he is starting to find his rhythm. Over his last three starts, the Blues’ netminder is 3-0 with a .945 SV% while opposing teams have scored just two goals in all three of those contests.

This strong play should continue against the Ducks, a team Binnington has fared well against over the past couple of seasons. Across his last seven starts against Anaheim, he boasts a .922 SV% and 2.00 GAA.

Binnington has allowed two or fewer goals in five of those seven outings.

Best NHL Parlay Bet: Ducks Team Total Under 2.5 (-110)
