🎯 Placing Bets with OddsShopper
There are three primary ways to bet using PortfolioEV:
1. Straight Bets
Place a single bet by clicking the “Place Bet” icon next to any individual Top Bet.
2. Mass Entry
Select up to 20 bets at a time and place them in one click. Perfect for volume betting.
3. Parlay Generator
Combine multiple +EV bets into a single high-upside parlay. You control the legs and risk.
⚠️ Troubleshooting Redirects
Because sportsbooks operate differently across browsers, apps, and states, here are common issues and what to do:
| Problem | Likely Cause | Fix |
| Clicking "Place Bet" does nothing | Browser or pop-up blocker | Try Safari or Chrome. Disable blockers temporarily |
| Redirect opens App Store repeatedly | App is not installed or not opening correctly | Install the app or try opening the sportsbook manually |
| Logged out or redirected to login page | Session expired or location blocked | Stay logged in beforehand and check your location settings |
| Book shows different odds than displayed | Odds have moved | Refresh Top Bets to get updated bets |
| You get an error or ineligible message | Some companies, schools or jurisdictions may block sportsbook sites | Double-check your location and eligibility to access the sportsbook website |
📉 Tracking Your Bets Inside OddsShopper
Once mark tracked, bets are automatically tracked within the Top Bets page under your portfolio:
You’ll see:
- Time placed
- Book odds vs. True Odds
- EV % at time of bet
- Updated odds & edge
- Current CLV performance (if applicable)
This helps you monitor how your daily betting activity is performing — beyond just wins and losses.
🔢 How to Know What You’ve Bet
Once you track or hide a bet, it’s removed from your daily EV recommendations — so you never have to worry about accidentally double-betting the same prop.
You can also:
- See your total bets placed each day
- Sort and filter your activity across portfolios
- Use this data to identify patterns and refine your strategy over time

- Refresh Top Bets often — odds move fast, so edges appear/disappear throughout the day
- Avoid trying to time perfect entries — most edges are fleeting
- Track how often you’re hitting your daily bet volume goals
