Quick NHL Best Bets: Morgan Rielly to Score A Point & Maple Leafs to Cover Tonight | 11/2/21

Tuesday night in the NHL brings nine games for betting and an abundance of teams struggling to start the year, along with teams who find defense an inconvenience. It has been a nice far in the NHL betting world, with generous prop bets. Tonight looks to be no different, so let’s find some winners.

Best NHL Bets Today: Player Prop Odds & Betting Picks

Toronto Maple Leafs (-1) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (-117, SugarHouse)

This is a matchup of two teams with similar records but opposite numbers on the attacking side. The Maple Leafs have been the cream of the crop in the NHL, with over 11 high-danger chances per game and a Corsi-for nearly touching 56%, but they have struggled defensively. Thankfully for them, the Knights are  reeling with injuries, as three of their top six players are on IRL Max Pacioretty, Mark Stone and newly added William Karlsson. Depth pieces Alex Tuch and Nolan Patrick are out as well.

It is remarkable that the Golden Knights are playing .500 hockey with the roster they are rolling out, but that luck can only go so far when playing a highly skilled offensive team such as the Leafs. With a horrible save percentage against high danger chances (29th in the league) and poor possession of the puck, Vegas will not keep this one close.

Morgan Rielly to Score a Point (+105, SugarHouse)

Though correlating these bets is not always a good play, the value here on Morgan Rielly at +105 is too strong to pass up. Rielly is carrying the same odds to score as Keith Yandle for Philadelphia while playing eight more minutes per game in a similarly bad/good matchup. The Leafs will have plenty of opportunities to score, and the probability of Rielly being involved is high given his role and minutes played.
