How Parlay Odds Work

A parlay combines multiple bets into one ticket that only pays if every leg wins. In exchange for that risk, the odds multiply: each leg's decimal odds are multiplied together to produce the combined price. That's why payouts grow so quickly — and why the sportsbook's margin quietly compounds with every leg you add.

How to Use the Parlay Calculator

  1. Add each leg's American odds — the combined parlay odds update as you go.
  2. Enter your bet amount to see exactly what the ticket would win and pay out.

The payout is fixed by the books — the edge is in the legs. Legs that are individually positive-EV compound in your favor exactly the way the juice compounds against you on standard legs. Check any single leg with the EV calculator, compare prices on the odds screen, or explore the same game parlay tool for correlated builds.

Parlay Calculator FAQ

How are parlay odds calculated?

Convert each leg’s odds to decimal and multiply them together — that product is your combined decimal odds. Two -110 legs: 1.91 × 1.91 = 3.65, or about +265 in American odds. Every leg must win for the parlay to cash.

What does a 2-leg parlay at -110 each pay?

About +264 — a $100 bet returns roughly $364 total. Note that two fair coin-flips should pay +300; the gap is the sportsbook’s margin compounding across legs.

Are parlays bad bets?

The juice compounds with every leg you add, so a parlay of standard-priced legs carries a bigger house edge than the same bets placed separately. The exception: legs that are individually positive-EV compound in your favor too — a parlay built from +EV legs is a mathematically stronger ticket.

What about same game parlays?

Same game parlay legs are correlated, so sportsbooks price them with special models rather than simple multiplication — this calculator’s math applies to independent legs across different games.
