How to Sign Up With Proline+
Head over to Proline to start signing up — you must be in Ontario to download the Proline+ app, but you can register via the website if you are in another province.
Step 1: Personal Details
You will be prompted to enter a number of personal details to create your account, including (but not limited to) name, email address, home address, phone number and a couple of answers to security questions. Then you will have to create a username and password.
Step 2: Accept Terms
You will have to check three boxes to accept Proline’s terms: That you are creating the account for yourself, the information is correct and you agree to their terms and conditions.
Step 3: Review and Submit
The next page will show you all the information you have entered so you can double-check to make sure everything is correct. If you are good to go, click SUBMIT at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Verify Identity
Proline will then have to verify your location and identity to make sure you are eligible to bet with OLG services. This could take up to five business days to go through.
Step 5: Start Betting

Proline App Experience
The overwhelming consensus online with regard to the Proline app experience is that it is let down by the issues with account verification/freezing. This has been due to a myriad of factors, including geolocation issues, bank verification and accounts locking after winning bets. Obviously, this is not ideal, especially since Proline is only available in Ontario and thus has quite a limited number of eligible customers.
That said, there are aspects of the Proline app that deserve positive reviews, so let’s go over those here.
Design and Navigation
For all the reported issues with location and account verification, the user experience once your account is up and running is one of Proline’s strong points. The interface is quite clean, if a little dry, with popular bets, live betting, the calendar and special featured bets on the home screen. Game cards show the three main lines (spread, moneyline and total), and you can click these games to see all the available markets.
Above the featured bets, there is a scrolling bar that allows you to move between sports, or you can click the Sports tab at the bottom of the screen. These bottom tabs also have your Betslip (active bets), Pools (another Proline/OLG feature) and More, which will get you to your account page.
At the very top of the screen, you will find your funds at the right — which you can click to deposit/withdraw as you see fit. Then on the left side is a switch that moves between online and in-store betting, a fairly unique feature among sportsbooks. This allows you to see bets available at brick-and-mortar OLG locations.
All in all, this app functions fairly smoothly — once you get through the verification process, that is. That aspect can be a nightmare, frankly, but the product itself is sound.

However, Proline’s geolocation appears to break quite often, as there are many online reports of Ontario residents being unable to have their location confirmed. As a result, the Proline app has a 1.3-star rating in the iOS app store.
There have not been as many reports of that exact issue since Proline’s most recent app update, but the problems persist and do not seem to be close to a solution any time soon.

That said, there are two things that set Proline+ apart and make it a sportsbook worth trying out if you live in Ontario. For one, it is an Ontario-exclusive book, so if you live in the province, you know Proline+ is going to have you as a sports bettor in mind.
