Best UFC Fight Night Bets & Odds: Tim Elliott-Victor Altamirano

Tim Elliott-Victor Altamirano Odds
Via, FanDuel Sportsbook
Tim Elliott: -196| Victor Altamirano: -152
Over 2.5: -280 | Under 2.5: +210

Tim Elliott is a -196 favorite heading into this fight with Victor Altamirano. Elliott’s most recent fight was last March, when he earned a victory over Tagir Ulanbekov via unanimous decision. Altamirano defeated his last opponent Vinicius Salvador on March 25th, via unanimous decision. With both fighters looking to extend their winning streak, this projects to be an all out brawl.

Elliott enters this matchup with plenty of distractions outside  the cage. Despite those issues, he possesses far more UFC experience than Altamirano, and a kill or be killed mentality. Elliott averages 3.58 significant strikes per minute and 3.73 takedowns per bout. He will often rely on his output to win rounds and he finds a willing dance partner in this matchup. Look for Elliott to shoot for takedowns early and often.

On the other side, Altamirano only has three UFC fights and a Contender Series appearance. He comes in 2-1 in his UFC bouts, but he may possess the skillset to pull off an upset here. Like Elliott, Altamirano likes to push the pace. He averages 6.15 significant strikes per minute and 2.47 takedowns per bout. Altamirano should possess a striking advantage, but he has been taken to the mat at times, despite his 74% takedown defense. However, even if Elliott lands a takedown, Altamirano has proved to be a lethal submission grappler. Of his twelve professional wins, four have come via submission.

Atlamirano deserves strong consideration as an underdog here. He’s got a path to victory on the feet and enough submission skills to grapple with Elliott.
