The UFC 287 card has many intriguing fights but none bigger than the headlining title fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. Bettors are locking in their favorite Adesanya-Pereira bets, and the UFC 287 betting odds & trends show pretty even splits for the two dynamic middleweights.

UFC 287 Betting Odds & Trends: Where Bettors Are Leaning For Adesanya-Pereira

Per BetMGM data analyst John Ewing, bettors are slightly favoring the Pereira (+110) as the slight underdog. According to the report, 60% of bets have come in Pereira to defeat Adesanya for a second consecutive time, but 55% of the handle is on Adesanya (-135).

With public bettors backing Pereira, it is clear that the big money is on Adesanya to win back his belt.

The rematch serves as a quick chance at redemption for Adesanya, who lost his belt in the main event of UFC 281 when Pereira forced an unexpected stoppage. This time, the “Last Stylebender” is adamant that he won’t be taking the Pereira for granted this time around.

“We’re quietly confident,” Adesanya’s coach Eugene Bareman said, per MMA Mania. “You gotta understand, we were winning that fight relatively comfortably. We felt we were taking the rounds. But not comfortable enough – when you’re fighting somebody like that, who’s gameplan appears to be, it’s not a guy who builds his gameplan around accumulation of damage.

“He’s a guy that builds his gameplan around mentally wearing down and trying to land one big shot. And he’s comfortable giving rounds and then not panicking, because he gives away rounds and it’s part of a bigger picture for him. Setting up what he ultimately is looking for. And with a few adjustments we can make some changes there and build on a lot of positive things that happened in that fight for us.”

The fight prior to the highly-anticipated Adesanya-Pereira rematch features welterweights Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal (a +330 underdog) is garnering most of the betting attention despite losing his past three bouts. He has a whopping 91% of bets on him, with 66% of the money also on his side.

The latest UFC 287 betting odds & trends show bettors are relatively split on what should be a close Adesanya-Pereira title fight, but the entire card should be packed with great action.
