Ryan Garcia-Gervonta Davis Betting Trends: Underdog Getting All the Love

Ber BetMGM, Garcia (+200) is getting most of the betting attention over Davis (-225).

“Tickets actually pretty crazy in favor of Garcia, 4/1. But we’ve been getting really good 2-way money on it. We’re at -220 on Davis/+180 on Garcia. But we just took a $100K bet on Garcia, so we need Davis,” BetMGM Nevada’s Scott Shelton said, per Vegas Insider.

The BetMGM employee would add that one exact outcome would be best for the sportsbooks.

“Best-case scenario for us is Davis by decision. What we don’t need is a draw. That’s our worst-case scenario. It’s been 8/1 all week and has just gotten hammered.”

Both Garcia and Davis have predicted they will land the knockout victory. Davis comes in as the lightweight champion of the world and is the more polished technical fighter of the two. But Garcia has the reach advantage and uses his lightning-quick hands to secure some highlight-reel knockouts in recent years.

“All he talks about is that one punch. I only need one too. I touch that jaw and I’m telling you, you’re going to sleep. I’ll probably break your jaw,” Davis said at the final press conference, per CBS Sports. “We’re here. Enough with the talking. I’m ready to get down and dirty. I’m from Baltimore city and you’ll see how we turn it come Saturday. See y’all then.

“He’s gonna feel me for sure. I am what I say I am. I’m that guy. I didn’t get all the way here for no reason. I put the work in and I got those guys out of there. He’s gonna see it come Saturday night for sure.”

Garcia has become a fan-favorite in boxing circles and will have the majority of fans and bettors in his corner for the biggest fight of his career on Saturday. The latest Ryan Garcia-Gervonta Davis betting trends show bettors are high on the underdog, but it is certainly risky to bet against a fighter of Davis’ caliber.
