The Sterling-O’Malley fight might be one of the top fights of the year, but it isn’t distracting from the excitement surrounding the full 12-fight card. UFC 292’s main card includes a women’s title bout between Weili Zhang (-330) and Amanda Lemos (+240), Neil Magny (+285( facing off against Ian Garry (-360) and Marlon Vera (-185) in a Bantamweight fight against Pedro Munhoz (+154).

The winner of the latter fight could be a contender for the Bantamweight division title and a future meeting with Aljamain Sterling or Sean O’Malley. The UFC 292 main card will also include Mario Bautista, who is awaiting a new draw after his original opponent, Cody Garbrandt withdrew due to injury.

Weili Zhang and Amanda Lemos will fight for the women’s Strawweight title in the penultimate fight of the night. Zhang has not fought since 2022 when she won the division’s title from Carla Esparza. It’s her second run as women’s champion. She previously held the title in 2021 but dropped the belt to Rose Namajunas. She lost again to Namajunas in a re-match.

Amanda Lemos has been a mainstay in the women’s strawweight division for several years. However, Saturday’s fight will be her first chance to wear the belt. She has won eight out of her last ten fights, including two in a row. Lemos defeated Marina Rodriguez by knockout last November and she submitted Michelle Waterson-Gomez in July of 2022. Her last loss was at the hands of Jessica Andrade earlier in 2022.

Zhang is a heavy favorite (-330) to defend her title against Lemos, and she has indicated that she is already looking forward to taking on Tatiana Suarez. Zhang discussed her preparation for Suarez– one of the biggest rising stars in the UFC– and her application of saunas and other non-traditional training methods. She will look to get started with a statement win over Lemos and the UFC 292 odds make that look likely.

UFC 292’s prelims and early-prelims will be shorter than usual. There are expected to be six fights prior to the main. Those include Chris Weidman (+210) vs. Brad Tavares (-258), Gregory Rodrigues (-340) vs. Denis Tiuliulin (+270), Gerald Meerschaert (+250) vs. Andre Petroski (-265), Andrea Lee (+275) vs. Natalia Cristina da Silva (-345) and Maryna Moroz (+160) vs. Karine Silva (-192). Brad Katona is scheduled to fight as well, although he is awaiting an opponent for the scheduled bout.
