Bettors may have expected the odds to be closer for Petr Yan-Merab Dvalishvili, given Yan’s popularity and history in the promotion. However, that isn’t the case, even with both fighters going in opposite directions. Dvalishvili is 15-4 for his career, boasting an 8-fight win streak dating back to April of 2018.

Yan enters the fight with two straight losses, one to Sean O’Malley, the other to Aljamain Sterling. He defeated Cory Sandhagen prior to those fights, but lost his previous bout which was also against Sterling.

The lack of momentum for Yan ight be deceptive. Not only are O’Malley and Sterling top fighters in the Bantam Weight division, the matches were extremely close. Both of Yan’s last two losses came by split decisions. His first loss to Aljamain Sterling was a controversial disqualification resulting from illegal knee blow by Yan. He won tren straight matches before the DQ, and held the Bantam Weight title.

Dvalishvili has opened at +190 on the UFC odds board with Yan at -250. That could change as bettors react to these numbers throughout the week.

The card will also feature a rebooked fight between Nikita Krylov and Ryan Spann. The two fighters had been scheduled for the main event of the previous UFC Fight night. That fight was cancelled the day after the event when Krylov was announced out with an illness.

The late announced fight has yet to be lined by oddsmakers. However, Krylov was favored in their previous matchup and can be expected to be the favorite on the UFC odds board once again.
