Jarrett Allen Injury Update: Is Cleveland’s Star Center Playing? (March 21)

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost their star center to a right eye contusion earlier this month. Fortunately, the latest Jarrett Allen injury update reveals that he is at least questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. That said, bettors must seriously consider whether Jarrett Allen is playing tonight before placing their wagers.

The Cavaliers and Nets will tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET, so bettors and NBA DFS players should get an update well before lock. Jarrett Allen Injury Update – NBA Betting Impact

The Cavaliers have had to make do without Jarrett Allen for their last four games. Allen injured his eye in a loss to the Miami Heat earlier this month. He was forced out of the game late in the fourth quarter as a result, finishing the contest with six points, 13 rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Although the Cavaliers had to play without Allen over the last week and a half, they still went 3-1 — although their nine-point loss to the Philadelphia 76ers doesn’t bode well for their Eastern Conference title hopes.

A look at the Cleveland Cavaliers‘ latest injury update for Jarrett Allen reveals the star center has earned a questionable tag for Tuesday’s action. While he is yet to see in-game action since his injury, Allen practiced in full on Monday and should be considered likelier to play than not, especially as the Cavaliers look to climb their way up the Eastern Conference rankings.

When Allen sits, the Cavaliers have opted to slide Evan Mobley over to center and start Lamar Stevens at power forward. Stevens has seen plenty of starting action this year, but at 6-foot-6, he is much more of a low-usage wing than a viable replacement or Mobley or Allen. Stevens will slide back onto the bench once Allen returns, leaving Isaac Okoro as the lone true wing in Cleveland’s rotation.

Cavaliers-Nets NBA Betting Tips & Advice

With Allen trending in the right direction, the Cleveland Cavaliers should enter Tuesday’s game with a much larger advantage. Cleveland lost its earlier game against Brooklyn, but the two teams haven’t met since December, and both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were on the roster for that game. The new-look Nets now must trust Spencer Dinwiddie, Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson to fill their shoes.

The Nets will benefit from home-court advantage, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re a much worse team without Durant and Irving. The Nets have lost three-straight games and are 5-5 through their last 10. They lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder just last week. In contrast, the Cavaliers are 7-3 through their last 10 with wins over the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics — much tougher teams than the Nets.

Allen’s return to practice on Monday is a great sign, and the Cavaliers should have him back in their lineup for this game. Although Cleveland has gone only 15-19-2 against the spread on the road, they feel underpriced as only a 2-point favorite.
