Our NBA parlay picks today begin with a guy we haven’t really put much coin on so far this season, but I really like the spot. It’s Zion Williamson over 23.5 points against the Indiana Pacers.
The Pelicans just played last night against the Knicks, so we’re getting them on the tail end of a back-to-back. Yes, that can be a tad scary. But there are a few factors at play here that make me feel good.
- CJ McCollum might be OUT
- The Pacers give up 27 points per game to PFs
- Zion’s stats on back-to-backs are STRONG
If McCollum does sit again, that will bring more shots Zion’s way. In games without McCollum, Zion gets about 1.5 more shots, and he’s cashed the over on 23.5 points seven times.
In his career, Zion has played in 18 back-to-backs, and scored 24+ points in 12 of them. In fact, in his career on back-to-backs, he’s averaging 27 points per game.
We’re looking at a 238.5 point total in this game, with a 5.5-point spread. I’m not sure Indy should be laying 5.5 to anyone right now, and I think this game stays very competitive.
One last note: Zion didn’t even eclipse 30 minutes last night, so he should be able to play virtually a full minutes allotment tonight.
