Trae Young 25+ Points & 10+ Assists (NBA Player Prop)
Tonight, we have a matchup of the Kings vs Hawks in what should be a HIGH-SCORING affair. Atlanta is No. 3 in points per game, and Sacramento is No. 8.
Not to mention, they’re allowing 122.8 points (Atlanta) and 117.9 points (Sacramento) per game. So, there should be offense. A lot of offense.
What better guy to target in an up-tempo game than Trae Young? We’re double-dipping on his player props tonight and firing up the 25+ points and 10+ assists.
Trae had cashed BOTH of these props in seven straight games before failing to do so last time out against Chicago. This kind of makes sense, as Chicago isn’t going to play with much pace.
In this matchup, though? With the Hawks playing at the fifth-fastest rate, and the Kings playing at the 10th-fasest pace … this should be a track meet.
Looking at his standard props, Trae is projected to go over 28.5 points 52% of the time, according to the OddsShopper Prop Tool. I think this is a spot he’s going to
Sacramento is giving up just a shade under 10 assists per game, and just about 23.5 points per game to opposing point guards. And Trae ain’t you’re typical guard. This man has been cooking, and we’re going to ride the hot hand.
De’Aaron Fox 25+ Points (NBA Player Props)
We know the Hawks don’t play defense. It’s just a rule we’ve come to live by this season.
But, let’s look at the last 15 games to see how things are trending for Atlanta defending the point guard position.
In that span, the Hawks are allowing 27.02 points per game to opposing point guards. So, how could we not absolutely fall in love with the De’Aaron Fox 25+ points prop here tonight?
Right now, books have Fox listed with a points prop of 30.5-31.5, so they’re thinking he’s going to pop off tonight, which is very possible against this Atlanta defense.
Fox has gone for 25+ points in eight of 10 games this month, which includes numerous games against much tougher defenses than what Atlanta will be throwing at him tonight.
Domantas Sabonis Over 6.5 Assists (NBA Player Props)
How about some correlation?
If we’re liking Fox to get it poppin’ in terms of scoring, we’re going to like Domantas Sabonis assists. This pair works a two-man game INCREDIBLY well, and there should be a lot of dribble-handoffs and pick-and-pops for them to take advantage of.
So, we’re going to take Sabonis for over 6.5 assists. The books currently have his line at 7.5 and it’s juiced toward the over, so they’re expecting him to go over the 7.5-assist mark.
This isn’t a MASSIVE sample, but it is promising … in his two games against Atlanta while a member of the Kings, Sabonis has cashed the 6.5 assists prop both times.
And, one last little nugget for you: over their last 15 games, the Hawks are allowing the seventh-most assists to opposing centers.
Clippers -6.5 (NBA Pick)
This line has already moved to 7.5 at most books, but you can still fire up this Clippers -6.5 as an alternate spread if you want.
The Clippers have been SMOKING HOT of late, as had the Grizzlies before taking an absolute beat down from the Nuggets last night.
Yes, the Grizzlies are on a back-to-back and there’s a chance Ja Morant doesn’t play again tonight if this illness is truly an illness and not them faking a sickness so he could sit.
Either way, if Ja DOES play, I still like the Clippers to be able to handle the Grizzlies and cover this spread. And, if Ja DOESN’T play … well, we got some insane value, because this line will move EVEN MORE.
In terms of spread, the Clippers are 4-2 covering the spread when they have a rest advantage over their opponents. And, this game is IN Los Angeles, with a rest advantage, against a Grizzlies team on the second half of a back-to-back.
