LaMelo Ball Over 13.5 Rebounds + Assists

The Hornets have been on a bit of a cold streak as of late, but superstar point guard LaMelo Ball has been running hot in every aspect of the game. Scoring aside, Ball’s rebound and assist numbers were incredible after he returned to the lineup last month. He’s really been getting back into the groove recently, and he’s feeling more confident the more he plays. Ball has played in four games over the past week, and he’s averaged 16.3 rebounds/assists per game on 25 rebound chances/assist opportunities per game.

The Hornets will be without Kelly Oubre Jr. and Gordon Hayward once again, which will likely force Ball to do more. With Oubre and Hayward off of the court this season, Ball is averaging a 33% usage rate and 14.36 rebounds/assists per 36 minutes. It’s also worth noting that he played 38 minutes last game when both players were unavailable. The Grizzlies have allowed 14.6 rebounds/assists per game to point guards this year, so this looks like a good spot for Ball.

Donte DiVincenzo Over 1.5 Blocks + Steals

It’s been a strange season for the Warriors. They’ve been consistently injured, which has led to consistent rough play on the court. One guy that’s taken advantage of more opportunity this season is Donte DiVincenzo, who is counted on for his on-ball defense and energy. DiVincenzo has played extended minutes for the last three weeks and has produced two or more steals/blocks in four of his eight outings. He’s been even better over the last week, as he’s averaged 2.3 stocks per game in 34.4 minutes per game.

DiVincenzo ranks top 20 in the NBA this season in steals per game, and tonight he is set to face a team in the Pistons that has problems with turnovers. Detroit leads the league in opponent steals over the last three games, as they’ve given up 10.7 per game. In the last month, the Pistons typical starters have averaged over 10 turnovers per game combined. OddsShopper shows the odds for this play listed at -140 on BetMGM.
