Warriors-Clippers Player Prop: Best Bet for Kawhi Leonard (Dec. 14)

We cashed our Victor Wembanyama player prop last night even with Anthony Davis suiting up. Now, we’re turning to Kawhi Leonard, in hopes that Paul George sits out. Let’s dive into the best Kawhi Leonard player prop odds for tonight as we look to identify the best bet for tonight’s Warriors-Clippers game. Best Warriors-Clippers Player Prop Today: Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard is back to playing like a top 10 player in the league. Leonard is averaging 28.5 points and five assists in his last five games. That’s all with a star-studded lineup that features Paul George and James Harden, with usage rates up to 20%. That doesn’t even come close to how much Leonard has been used. His average usage rate is over 25% in his last five games – imagine if George can’t suit up tonight. He’s dealing with a groin injury that caused him to miss the second half of the last game. Nonetheless, if George plays, I expect Leonard to continue to dominate and shoot efficiently from the field against the Warriors tonight.

We know who won’t be suiting up on the Warriors end. Draymond Green went full WWE on Tuesday and will be suspended for the foreseeable future. That leaves Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson on the perimeter to defend Leonard – both were benched in the closing frame of last game’s close defeat to the Suns. Ranked in the middle of the pack in defensive efficiency, the Warriors will have their hands full as the Clippers rank in the top 10 in offensive rating in the last 10 games.

We won’t know the full injury report till later tonight, so speculating about George won’t do us any good. But even with George in the lineup, Leonard has crushed this player prop line in the last three games. Without George in the second half of the last game, Leonard combined for 15 points + assists. That came in all the third quarter as the Clippers went up big, and Leonard wasn’t needed.

Look for Leonard to seek out mismatches all night against a Warriors front looking for answers. Jonathan Kuminga may be that guy, but stopping Leonard is a tall task that many teams have failed at. Head to DraftKings for this prop at 30.5, while FanDuel has been bumped to 31.5.
