Virginia Tech-LSU Women’s Final Four Odds, Trends & Public Betting Data

The main event of the evening in women’s college basketball is Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes against undefeated South Carolina, but don’t forget there are Virginia Tech-LSU Final Four odds to examine too.

The LSU Tigers, led by Angel Reese and head coach Kim Mulkey, are 1.5-point favorites in their Final Four matchup against No. 1 Virginia Tech. The total is 133.5 with LSU a -135 favorite on the moneyline, compared to the underdog Hokies at +110.

LSU finds itself in the Final Four after running through Hawaii, Michigan, Utah and Miami in NCAA Tournament play. Only the win over Utah was by single digits when crucial missed free throws cost the Utes. The Tigers have just two losses on the season — a 22-point loss at South Carolina in February and a 2-point loss to Tennessee in the SEC Tournament.

Statistically, double-double machine Angel Reese leads the way, averaging 23 points and 15.7 rebounds per game. She has led the team in rebounds in all four NCAA Tournament games.

Standing in the way of a potential rematch with South Carolina is Virginia Tech. The Hokies are 31-4 on the year, with double-digit wins over each NCAA Tournament opponent, including a 10-point win over Ohio State in the Elite 8.

Guard Georgia Amore has led the way in scoring during the tournament after scoring 16 points per game during the regular season. The Hokies have a double-double threat of their own in Elizabeth Kitley, who averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Virginia Tech-LSU Public Betting Data

According to data released by BetMGM, LSU is the more popular bet. More than half (57%) of bets are on the Tigers, with over 60% of the total handle on the favorites. However, the majority of moneyline bets are on the underdog.

Meanwhile, the total has dropped from 134.5 to 133.5 as money pours in on the under. Almost 90% of all bets on the total are on the under. Perhaps this is no surprise, with LSU last game barely topping 100 combined points.

The Virginia Tech-LSU game starts at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
