Aaron Rodgers Prop Bets Drop Amid Potential Jets Deal

Aaron Rodgers is still officially a member of the Green Bay Packers but it sure looks like he’ll be the New York Jets quarterback next season. The news has indicated the Packers and Jets are in the final steps of completing a trade centered around the future Hall of Famer. With the QB dominating the news, the Aaron Rodgers prop bets have dropped on some sportsbooks.

Aaron Rodgers Prop Bets Drop With Jets Trade Looming

Per DraftKings Sportsbook, the Aaron Rodgers prop bets have him turning in a great year despite a down year with the Packers last season. His over/under passing yards is set at 4,505 yards, and his touchdowns prop is at 31.5. Rodgers threw for 3,695 yards with 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in the 2022-23 season but had won back-to-back MVP Awards in the two years prior.

There was a lot of uncertainty centered around Rodgers’ future when he re-emerged from a recent darkness retreat to clear his mind. The QB cleared up a lot of those comments when making a declaration that he intends to play for the Jets next season during an appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show”.

Jets fans have gotten a bit uneasy as the Rodgers deal has not been made official. But at this moment, the move appears to be inevitable. Rodgers admitted that his Packers career is over, and the Jets now appear to have all the leverage given the situation.

“It’s in everyone’s best interest to get it done sooner than later,” said former NFL executive Mike Tannenbaum, per ESPN. “Typically, you need a deadline. Maybe the offseason program is the first deadline.”

The stall would get worrisome if it lingers on closer to the NFL Draft when the Jets would need to map out their plan for the future and decide what picks they are sending the Packers in return for Rodgers. The first day of the Jets’ offseason program is also on April 17.

“I still have that fire and I want to play, and I would like to play in New York,” Rodgers said Wednesday. “It’s just a matter of, you know, getting that done at this point.”

The latest Aaron Rodgers prop bets indicate sportsbooks are thinking he can put up big numbers next year wherever he plays, which should come as good news for Jets fans.
