Divisional Round Betting Trends Show Public’s Love For Giants

Per Caesars Sportsbook, 88% of the money is on Giants to cover the spread (+7), with 83% of the moneyline on the Giants (+285), as well.

The Giants closed as a 3-point underdog against the Minnesota Vikings in the Super Wild Card game. Thanks to a strong performance by quarterback Daniel Jones and a much-improved offense, they were able to pull off the 31-24 win. Jones completed 24 of 35 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns, and added 78 yards rushing.

“I’ve said it all year,” Giants coach Brian Daboll told reporters after the game, per the NFL website. “He’s been good for us. He continues to be good for us. And he played a good game. I think there’s a lot of other people that played good games, too, to help him play a good game. He’ll be the first to admit it. As the leader of our football team, I’m proud of him.”

Jones, who is playing out the final year of his contract, is making a case that he is the future franchise quarterback in New York. But he’ll have his work cut out for him Saturday, against the Eagles (14-3), who have dominated opponents all season. The Giants, without Jones playing, held their own against the Eagles in Week 18. With Davis Webb at quarterback, the Giants lost 22-16, limiting Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts to 20 of 35 passing for 229 yards and one interception.
“We are playing a really good team that has a really good defense that does a lot of really good things,” Hurts said, per Lehigh Valley Live. “That’s on both sides of the ball. We have to come prepared and put in a great week of preparation to go out there and play well Saturday.”

The NFC Divisional Round betting trends show that the public has fallen in love with the Giants, but Hurts and the Eagles will look to put an end to the Cinderella Story on Saturday night.
