NFL Playoffs Rushing Yards Odds: Christian McCaffrey Prop

Per BetMGM, Christian McCaffrey is the favorite (+125) to finish the NFL Playoffs with the most rushing yards. He’s followed by Joe Mixon (+250), Miles Saunders (+550), Isiah Pacheco (+650), Kenneth Gainwell (+1200) and Jalen Hurts (+2000).

McCaffrey (154 rushing yards in the playoffs) currently trails Jaguars running back Travis Etienne (171 yards) but should be able to pass him easily in the NFC Championship Game this weekend. The next highest total is with Bengals running back Joe Mixon (144 yards), who appears to be McCaffrey’s main competition. Even if the 49ers fail to qualify for the Super Bowl, McCaffrey should still be able to put up a strong performance against the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday.

The Eagles ranked second in the NFL in opponents yards per game (301.5), but struggled some against the run, allowing 121.6 rushing yards per game. They allowed Giants running back Saquon Barkley to run for 61 yards on just nine carries in their win in the Divisional Round.

McCaffrey ran just 10 times for 35 yards in the NFL Divisional Round win over the Dallas Cowboys and admitted that he was dealing with a slight calf issue.

“I was fighting but made it through — made it through great,” McCaffrey said, per NBC Sports.

He still played 44 of the 49ers’ 66 offensive snaps, getting some spells throughout the game from backup Elijah Mitchell. McCaffrey expressed confidence that he’ll be just fine and ready to go against the Eagles.

“Nothing bad, all good,” he said.

Expect the 49ers to ride a healthier McCaffrey, even more, this weekend, making it likely that he’ll be able to take over the NFL Playoffs rushing lead after the weekend. With Joe Mixon as the only other back in the Conference Championship round close to his mark, it could be work getting some action on this McCaffrey rushing yards prop.
