Top Super Bowl Props: Bettors Flock to Exact Score Line After Absurd Social Media Joke

It appears that some bettors are convinced that the upcoming Super Bowl is already rigged. A tweet surfaced earlier in the week, joking that the Philadelphia EaglesKansas City Chiefs Super Bowl would end with the Eagles winning 37-34 because of a meme showing a Pro Football Reference box score.

Fake Script Leads to Exact Score Super Bowl Props

Per VSIN’s Ben Fawkes, bettors are looking to take advantage of an exact score of 37-34 Eagles over the Chiefs. According to Fawkes, the top five most bet Super Bowl props on BetMGM are on Travis Kelce to score the first touchdown (+650), Kelce anytime TD (-125), result of coin toss: Tails (-105), Eagles 37-Chiefs 34 exact score (80-1) and Miles Sanders OVER 59.5 rushing yards (-115).

The conspiracy theorists claiming the Super Bowl has been scripted beforehand most likely felt validated when former NFL running back Arian Foster claimed last week on a podcast appearance that players are given a script before each NFL season.

“We were really dedicated to it. So, it was more so like that’s what practice was about — it was about practicing the script. This is what goes on, this is what we have to do … WWF, so it’s like we know what’s going to happen. You still gotta put on a show,” the four-time Pro Bowl running back said, per Fox News.

Foster was ridiculed and mocked by several current and former NFL players over his claims, but that’s not going to stop some bettors from getting in on the exact score Super Bowl prop after the leak online. The Eagles opened as a 2.5-point favorite over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. But despite getting the bulk of public action thus far, Philly has fallen to a 1.5-point favorite (per Fanduel). The Super Bowl props betting game has been more and more influenced by fun trends (such as Gatorade color dumped on the winning coach and National Anthem times) but the latest exact score prop acton is something sportsbooks are not accustomed to.

“The correct score of 37-34 Eagles is our worst result, thanks to Twitter memes,” said Seamus Magee, a Sports Trader at BetMGM.

The Eagles beating the Chiefs 37-34 would make for an incredibly fun Super Bowl result, but the conspiracy theorists would undoubtedly be at their loudest. Sportsbooks are joining many in hoping that outcome does not occur. Be sure to use OddsShopper ‘s tools for the best value on Super Bowl LVII prop bets.
