Tom Brady Free Agency Odds: Raiders Overtake Buccaneers as Favorites

The Tom Brady free agency odds are already on the move just days after the veteran QB was bounced from the NFL Playoffs. The initial free agency odds had the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a slight favorite to retain Brady if he opts against retirement. But on Wednesday, the Las Vegas Raiders took over as the betting favorite.

Tom Brady Free Agency Odds: Raiders In Driver’s Seat?

Check out the latest Tom Brady free agency odds, per DraftKings.

The Brady rumors immediately began for the Raiders after they benched Derek Carr late in the season, making it clear that they have plans to move off of him this offseason. Asked about being linked to teams such as the Raiders and Miami Dolphins prior to the playoffs, Brady was unwilling to discuss anything beyond the task at hand.

"I don't know," Brady said, per Bleacher Report. "You guys gotta write something new every day. So I just wake up, show up and try to do my job."

Brady was similarly short when asked about his future following the 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.

“I’m going to go home and get a good night’s sleep as good as I can tonight,” Brady said, per CNN. “It’s just been a lot of focus on this game so, it’s just going to be one day at a time, truly.”

“Just feels like the end of the season,” he added. “I love this organization. It’s a great place to be. Thank you, everybody, for welcoming me. I’m very thankful for the respect and I hope I gave the same back.”

The season ended in disappointing fashion for Brady and the Bucs, and they certainly had their struggles offensively. But the 45-year-old also proved he still had some good play left in the tank. He finished first in the NFL in passing completions (490) and ninth in passing touchdowns (25) despite the inefficiencies in moving the ball.

Brady can still help plenty of NFL teams, and might even see an uptick from his level of play if inserted into the right system with the right play-makers around him. The Raiders have the inside track based on the latest Tom Brady free agency odds, but we'll continue to monitor any developments while he mulls his future.
