Updated Premier League Championship Odds: Arsenal Takes Step Back

Arenal has been enjoying a dream season but took a step in the wrong direction on Saturday. They have been atop the Premier League standings for most of the season despite coming into the year as a heavy underdog to challenge the league’s elites but fell to Everton 1-0 on Saturday. Arsenal remains in first place in the Premier League despite the loss, but Manchester City has now taken over as favorites based on the latest Premier League championship odds.

Premier League Championship Odds: Arsenal Now Behind Manchester City

Per BetMGM:

The loss to Everton showed some lack of physicality from Arsenal, but perhaps there shouldn't be too much panic. After all, it was the team's first defeat suffered since a September 4th loss to Manchester United.

"For the team, I want the team to know how much I love them and I love them much more now than three hours ago, a week ago, a month ago, three months ago," Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said after the loss, per ESPN.

"It's very easy to be next to the players when they are winning and performing. This is the moment that I love my players more, the staff more and now we stick together.

"This journey is going to be difficult, challenging and there's going to be big stones in the middle that we have to overcome and now we have to prepare the week really well to get to Saturday with the right emotional level and the right spirit to beat Brentford."

Manchester City can now trim Arsenal's Premier League lead to two points if they're able to defeat a struggling Tottenham team on Sunday, but Arsenal would still have a game in hand.

The latest Premier League odds show a true two-horse race in the league between Arsenal and Manchester City, with city fans undoubtedly enjoying Everton's efforts on Saturday.
