As of publication, every book was quite high on No. 3 Novak Djokovic. The 36-year-old tennis superstar and former No. 1 player has won the French Open twice, once in 2016 and again in 2021. He’ll line up against No. 4 Casper Ruud, a 24-year-old Norwegian who lost in the finals here last year to Rafael Nadal.
Ruud is no stranger to success on big stages. Aside from his runner-up here last year, he also finished second in the U.S. Open and second in the ATP Tour Finals. He has 10 career titles to his name, and while he is still waiting on his first Grand Slam, he isn’t a walkover opponent like the betting odds suggest.
