Tennis bettors will be treated to a re-match of the 2021 US Open when Daniil Medvedev takes on Novak Djokovic this Sunday. Medvedev defeated Djokovic in the 2021 US Open final to win his first, and only Grand Slam. Djokovic has won 23 Grand Slams in his career, including four US Open titles.

The US Open odds heavily favored Djokovic and Alcaraz heading into the tournament, but that all changed on Friday.

Medvedev was a +265 to get by Alcaraz. The Russian won the first set in a tiebreak and then defeated Alcaraz 6-1 in the second setto take a commanding lead in the match. Alcaraz’s hopes were revived when he broke Medvedev and held serve to takedown the 3rd set, but Medvedev turned it back around, winning the fourth set to close out the match.

Djokovic entered the semi-finals as a -120 favorite to win the US Open Championship. Alcaraz entered at +120, Medvedev at +1000 and Shelton at +4000 in the US Open odds.

Djokovic has not lost a set since he was taken to a full-five by Laslo Djere in the Third Round of the US Open. Medvedev swept Andrey Rublev 3-0 in semi-finals before defeating Alcaraz.

The early Medvedev-Djokovic odds have opened at DraftKings in favor of Djokovic. The opening tennis odds have Djokovic at -250 on the moneyline to defeat Medvedev, who is +205 to win the match. Match props are beginning to be released. Medvedev is a -210 to keep the match within 2.5 sets compared to Djokovic who is +150 to win by the same spread.
