Step 1: Open the Portfolio Lab
Go to the Portfolio Lab on OddsShopper.
- Select NBA as your sport.
- Under the “Sportsbooks” filter, deselect all books except:
- Rebet
- Onyx Odds
- Fliff
- ProphetX
- NoVig
- Leave all other filters at their default settings for now:
- All bet types
- All OS Ratings
- All start times
- All EV ages
Click “View Markets.”
Step 2: Switch to Current Season Data
In the Filters section, change the Season setting from Previous Season to Current Season.
Now you’ll only see +EV bets from the current NBA season. Every bet shown has a long-term positive expected value, meaning they’re projected to win money over time.
At this point, you already have a viable portfolio, but let’s tighten it up for even stronger results.
Step 3: Refine for Higher ROI
Click Settings at the top of the Portfolio Lab and adjust the sliders:
Adjust the sliders as follows:
- Minimum OS Rating: 2
- Maximum Time to Event Start: 8 Hours
- Minimum EV Age: 5 Minutes
What these settings do:
- A 2+ OS Rating filters out weaker bets and focuses on higher-quality edges.
- An 8-hour window prioritizes bets that are actionable in the near term.
- A 5-minute EV age ensures you’re avoiding stale or phantom edges that may no longer be valuable.
Click “View Markets” again and watch your historical ROI (hROI) rise.
At this point, you’ll likely notice:
- A cleaner list of +EV bets
- Fewer false edges
- A sharper portfolio — custom-built for social sportsbook users
Step 4: Save and Use Your Portfolio
Click “Save Portfolio.” Name it something like “Social Sportsbooks NBA” for easy access.
