Mariners-Royals Picks, Predictions and Best MLB Bet

Another big slate of MLB games as the weekend approaches, and for some teams they can start to see the finish line. That could mean a merciful end to the season, or for others the chance to find the postseason and make a run at it. We have a handful of series pairing up two teams going in opposite directions, one of which is the Royals traveling to Seattle to take on the Mariners. In our continued best MLB bet series, let’s look at our best Mariners-Royals picks and predictions.

Mariners-Royals Picks, Predictions and Best MLB Bet Today

Its no shock to see Seattle nearly a -200 favorite at home vs the Royals, but I was a little shocked to find plus money on their run line. Seattle sits at +110 at -1.5 and that is the line I am looking to attack. There are definitely some concerns, but getting plus money was enough for me to take a plunge even with a low total game and my team at home.

The Royals certainly want the season to end sitting 41-88 and a dismal 18-48 on the road. They are continuing a large road trip with the third straight series away from home and I don’t like this spot at all. Brady Singer takes the mound and with him comes an 8-9 record with a 5.04 ERA. Add in that his road splits balloon that to 6.75 and I feel confident they can get to him in this game. We absolutely need some runs early as again this isn’t the highest total and we realistically need to get this done in the first 8 innings.

For Seattle they have everything to play for with a 71-56 record and a respectable 34-28 mark at home. They have played 10 straight road games so this is a welcome sight for this team, and they should be carrying some momentum. They did lose their last game, but it was undoubtably a successful road trip and now they get a series with the basement Royals. Bryce Miller gets the ball and brings a solid 8-4 record with a 3.78 to the mound. Pitching at home has only improved things for Miller and I am confidently counting on him for a quality start tonight.

Laying -1.5 with a total of 8 in a game is dicey, but getting plus money on a quality team playing good baseball at home vs KC was enough for me. I expect Seattle to find some runs early and if this starts to snowball, I don’t see much the Royals can do to stop it. Seattle gets their first home game in awhile started in solid fashion with a 2+ run win in this spot.
