Best YRFI/NRFI Bets Today: No Run First Inning Bets

Milwaukee Brewers at Toronto Blue Jays – YRFI (-105)

The pitching duel between Kevin Gausman and Freddy Peralta is worthy of attention here. Gausman has an impressive 3.2-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio and is undoubtedly a talented pitcher. However, even elite pitchers like him can be vulnerable in the first inning. The top of the Brewers lineup draws a lot of walks and makes solid contact, so Milwaukee could get runners on base early in the game. This does not guarantee a run, but it offers a strong opportunity to exploit Gausman in the first inning. On the other side, Peralta has been limiting hard-hit balls, but the Blue Jays boast a powerful lineup with patient hitters that can work counts and put pressure on Peralta. Taking all these factors into account, the YRFI bet in this game presents a great opportunity.

Cincinnati Reds at Boston Red Sox – NRFI (-110)

This game features a pitching duel between Hunter Greene and Chris Sale. Both have shown command and the ability to work out of tight spots. Their styles may differ, but the result is the same — they can shut down opposing hitters and avoid giving up early runs. Greene, with his impressive 33% strikeout rate, possesses an arsenal of pitches that can make batters look foolish. Sale, on the other hand, is known for his velocity and overpowering hitters. With these pitchers on the mound, it is hard to imagine either team scoring in the first inning. The lineups at Fenway Park will not have enough firepower to overcome the dominance of Green and Sale.

Cleveland Guardians at Minnesota Twins – YRFI (+100)

Tanner Bibee takes the mound for the Guardians, while Pablo Lopez starts for the Twins. Bibee’s time in the rotation has brought stability, and Lopez has shown great command, limiting walks and generating strikeouts. However, both lineups are skilled at getting on base and have power hitters who can change the game with one swing. Additionally, playing in Minnesota gives the Twins an advantage, with their lineup’s ability to draw walks and hit for power. Both teams should be able to get baserunners in the first inning, creating an opportunity for an early run to be scored.
