Best MLB Player Prop Bet: Brady Singer | August 8

Brady Singer Prop O/U 6.5 Hits Allowed

Don’t look now but Brady Singer is trending in the right direction. The sportsbooks are still not catching on leaving many of his props solid to bet. His hits allowed market caught my eye instantly. He had his best start of the season last time out against the New York Mets. Singer went eight innings without allowing a run and just three hits. The two starts before that were sufficient as well. He stayed under this prop in both games and allowed two earned runs each.

The Red Sox continue to get respect from the sportsbooks but they’re trending in the wrong direction. Since the All-Star break, against RHP, they’re hitting at the fifth-lowest rate and slugging just as bad. Singer has allowed owned left-handed batters as of late. In his last three starts, left-handed batters have mustered just three hits in 48 at-bats. The Red Sox will mostly have five lefties in their lineup starting with Jarren Duran and Masataka Yoshida.

Singer is no doubt a part of the Royals future. There’s zero reason to push him to go deep into this game when they’re 24 games behind the division lead and used only two bullpen arms last night thanks to starting pitcher Cole Ragans. This prop at plus money is a no-brainer with Singer’s hit rate. He’s cashed this prop in 14 of 22 starts and six of his last 10.
