Phillies-Braves Player Prop No. 1

Where: Truist Park, Georgia

Justin’s Target: Marcell Ozuna at DraftKings

Let’s see the Phillies approach tonight. Christopher Sanchez will get the ball to start the game, with Michael Lorenzen being moved to the bullpen and expected to appear tonight. Lorenzen has been awful since he threw a no-hitter, and the Phillies will transition Lorenzen to the bullpen as he’s likely to stay there in the playoffs. It’s tough to find an edge when the Braves will see a left-handed pitcher and then a right-handed pitcher to follow, but it’s the Braves. They’re on the verge of breaking the record for most home runs hit by a single team in a season. Luckily, we found a hitter with pop against both LHP and RHP.

Marcell Ozuna needs to be talked about more. His home run power in the five-hole has resulted in 35 home runs, tied for 10th most in all of baseball. Behind Matt Olson and Austin Riley, Ozuna sees great pitches from opposing pitchers with runners on base. Here’s to hoping Ozuna sees Sanchez, an LHP, at least twice to showcase his .280 batting average and 12 home runs against LHP. His 12 home runs against LHP rank in the top 10 in baseball.

Phillies-Braves Player Prop No. 2

Justin’s Target: Kyle Schwarber at DraftKings

Find me the last time Kyle Schwarber was listed at near +400 to hit a home run. Yes, he’s facing off against Spencer Strider, but the familiarity goes a long way for a veteran like Schwarber. Strider and Schwarber have faced off 19 times, with Schwaber registering one home run and four walks. That’s enough for me to sprinkle at these odds.

Schwarber hit a missile last night that registered at 493 feet. It looked more like 500 feet, but we’ll gladly take another one tonight. He’s hit four home runs in his last 10 games and back-to-back games in Atlanta. A solo home run to start the game would be an excellent way for Schwarber to register his 100th RBI of the season. I’ll take my chances here against a RHP, which Schwarber has over 30 home runs against, 4th most in all of baseball.
