UFC 291 Odds: Dustin Poirier-Justin Gaethje Odds

Dustin Poirier is moving up the UFC odds for Saturday’s matchup. The movement may be due in part to Poirier’s success against Gaethje in the past. Poirier defeated him by 4th Round knockout in 2018. The two both went on to have success in the UFC since their bout, but those successful roads now cross paths again at UFC 291.

There has been some speculation that the match could be a retirement fight for both sides. Both lightweights are 34-years old. Poirier has over 30 UFC fights in his career. Saturday’s match will be Gaethje’s 29th UFC fight. Both fighters have had title runs in the Lightweight division. Ironically, the most recent fight for both Poirier and Gaethje came at the hands of Charles Oliveira.

Despite all the similarities between the two fighters, Poirier certainly holds the lead in UFC 291 odds and bets Sharp action has moved this number from -130 in favor of Poirier as high as -150 at DraftKings. The offshore sportsbook, BetOnline is the only outlet to have released any UFC prop betting markets for the matchup. The fight is currently -120 to go Over 2.5 Rounds. That indicates that this five round main event is likely to end inside the distance if that line holds.
