Best NBA Bets Today: Game Tips & Betting Predictions

Pistons-Bucks Bets

The Pistons and Bucks will face off for the second time in a row on Wednesday. Their matchup on Monday was much closer than most anticipated, with Milwaukee squeezing out a 110-108 victory. Milwaukee has managed to pull off six straight victories to start the season, all without their All-Star forward Khris Middleton. One player that has stepped up in Middleton’s absence is veteran point guard Jrue Holiday.

Holiday is averaging 8.3 assists on 15.0 potential assists per game this season. In his matchup with the Pistons on Monday, Holiday finished with 10 assists on 17 potential assists. His 10 assists were half of the team’s total assists on Monday. The Pistons have struggled to slow down opposing point guards this season, giving up the sixth-most assists (9.3) per game to the position.

Holiday’s assist line is set at 7.5 for tonight’s matchup. He has posted at least eight assists in four of six games this season. Detroit ranks 26th in opponent points in the paint, which is an issue when going up against Giannis Antetokounmpo. Look for Holiday to feed Giannis down low and rack up the assists in Wednesday’s matchup. Have confidence in taking Holiday to go over 7.5 assists.

Celtics-Cavaliers Bets

Two of the top Eastern Conference juggernauts face off in a battle inside Rocket Mortgage Field House on Wednesday. The Cavaliers will host the Celtics at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Cleveland has yet to lose a game at home, but tonight will be their toughest test to date on their home court. These two teams faced off on Wednesday with the Cavaliers securing the victory in overtime 132-123 on the road in Boston. Tonight’s focus will be on the play of veteran center Al Horford.

Horford is in his 16th season in the league, and his numbers are dropping off to start the year, even in the absence of Robert Williams III. Horford is averaging 8.0 points and 5.0 rebounds through the team’s first five games. Horford’s rebound line is set at 7.5 rebounds for tonight’s matchup. He has only gone over seven rebounds once this season, which was in his last game against the Wizards, where he finished with eight rebounds. Cleveland allows 50 rebounds per game to opponents, which is the eighth fewest in the league. With all the size Cleveland has down low, it will be difficult for the 6-foot-9 Horford to secure the boards. Despite playing in 41 minutes in their overtime thriller against Cleveland last week, Horford only managed to secure two rebounds.

Horford’s minutes have fluctuated this season. He has played 25 or fewer minutes in three of his five starts. He is coming off 69 regular season games and one of the lengthiest playoff runs of his career. He is averaging career-lows in usage (11.2%) and defensive rebounds per game. The only thing sustaining his game so far is his 3-point shooting, but that’s bound to dip as the season progresses. Given the matchup against this young lengthy Cavaliers team, take Horford to go under his rebound line of 7.5 boards in tonight’s matchup.
