Best NBA Heat-Celtics Same Game Parlay for Eastern Conference Finals Game 5 (Marcus Smart Gets it Done at Home)

Oh, God. I thought this series would be over in four games after Game 3, but we’re now headed back to Boston after the Celtics showed more moxie than we’ve seen from them all series. Was it just a fluke? I don’t think so. Bettors seeking a viable NBA same-game parlay (SGP) for Thursday’s Heat-Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Game 5 should target these lines at FanDuel — we’re trusting Marcus Smart and the rest of the Celtics to keep their momentum rolling. Best Heat-Celtics NBA Same-Game Parlay for Game 5 | ECF

So that happened. With the Boston Celtics forcing a Game 4, the momentum has swung back in their favor now that the action heads back to Boston. Both teams rely heavily on 3-point shooting, and regression finally evened things out. The Celtics should have enough juice in them to take Game 5, and if they do, I’m expecting solid performances from two of their starters — and a dud game from one of the Heat’s.

Jaylen Brown 25+ Points

This is the buy-low spot of all buy-low spots. Brown is averaging a pathetic 16.8 points per game this series on embarrassing shooting splits of 39-12-44. But Brown entered this series averaging 24.6 points per game on splits of 54-47-70 in the postseason. He averaged 26.7 points per game on splits of 49-30-78 at home in the regular season. I expect Brown to recover at some point during this series, and there’s no better spot for him to do it than in this one. The volume has been there the whole time, just not the efficiency.

Marcus Smart 2+ 3-Pointers

The Miami Heat struggled to stop corner 3’s in the regular season, and through the last seven playoff games, Smart leads the Celtics in corner 3’s attempted per game (1.7). Smart is averaging 1.3 corner 3’s attempted per game this series but should see an uptick in volume in a closer game. Smart can also do damage from the top of the key and has been taking 3.5 above-the-break 3’s per game this series. Smart converted 36.7% of his 3-pointers at home in the regular season and has hit at least a pair of triples in 11 of his 17 playoff appearances.

Gabe Vincent Under 12.5 Points

The Boston Celtics finally found a way to contain Gabe Vincent after he looked like Stephen Curry in Game 3. Vincent still managed to rack up 17 points, but six of those came from the charity stripe. Vincent played a series-low 28 minutes and was Miami’s worst role player in box plus-minus. He struggled on the road in the regular season and averaged only 8.8 points per game outside of Miami, 1.2 points worse than what he averaged at home.

Boston Celtics Moneyline

Let’s wrap things up by taking the Celtics to keep this series going for another game. Boston is an 8-point favorite for Thursday’s game and should find a way to win at home. The Celtics are a solid 36-14 in the TD Garden this year and are 44-21 when coming off a win. The Celtics have to win at least once at home this series, right?
