Best NBA Heat-Celtics Same-Game Parlay For ECF Game 2: Fade Miami’s Role Players (May 19)

The Miami Heat have proved their doubters wrong during their improbable run from the Play-In Tournament to the Eastern Conference Finals. They continued to impress when winning Game 1 against the Boston Celtics despite entering the night as a sizable underdog. But it is fair to expect the Heat to come back down to earth with the Celtics’ backs against the wall in Game 2. The best Heat-Celtics same-game parlay (SGP) for Friday night includes fading a couple of Miami’s role players who contributed more than usual in Game 1.

Best NBA Heat-Celtics Same-Game Parlay For Game 2| May 19

The Celtics have looked bad at times throughout the NBA Playoffs, but they have been able to answer the bell by showing they can dominate even the toughest opponents. After the Heat smacked them in the mouth and stole Game 1 on the road, expect a different Celtics team to show up for Game 2, making it hard for a couple of different Heat players to replicate their Game 1 performance.

Boston Celtics -8.5

Sure, the Heat proved that sportsbooks were undervaluing them when making Boston over a -500 favorite to win the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics are once again a heavy favorite in Game 2, but this time, they should be able to assert their dominance. Boston has bounced back to cover the spread the last three times they have lost in the NBA Playoffs, including winning back-to-back games over the Philadelphia 76ers after going down 3-2 in the series.

Gabe Vincent Under 10.5 Points

The Miami Heat got the good version of Gabe Vincent in Game 1. The 3-point shooter was left open throughout the opener, leading to 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting (3-of-5 from 3). Given the small volume of shots, look for Vincent to experience some regression in Game 2. He had not scored over 10.5 points in four straight games before his performance in Game 1. The Celtics’ defense will likely give less open 3-point looks in Game 1, and Vincent will find it harder to make an impact.

Jayson Tatum Over 29.5 Points

Tatum followed up his historic performance in Game 7 against the 76ers by pouring in 30 in Game 1. Still, it felt like Tatum could have and should have been more aggressive down the stretch. He did not attempt a shot in the fourth quarter, something that will need to change if the C’s want to keep up with Jimmy Butler and the Heat in close games. Look for Tatum to stay aggressive in Game 2, making the points over a solid leg to add to our parlay.

Kyle Lowry Under 10.5 Points

Like Vincent, veteran guard Kyle Lowry was a massive reason why the Heat were able to steal Game 1. He had his stroke going from the opening tip, scoring 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Also like Vincent, it is hard to imagine Lowry remaining as efficient in Game 2. He has been coming off the bench in recent games, resulting in fewer shots and less scoring. For the Celtics to prove the sportsbooks right and move on to the NBA Finals, they will need to limit the production of role players and hope Lowry (a 40.4% shooter during the regular season) does not continue to shoot at a 60% clip.
