De’Aaron Fox Player Prop

Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox is listed as questionable for tonight’s contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing Wednesday night’s contest to rest an ailing knee. Assuming he does suit up on Friday night, he’ll face one of the toughest defensive matchups in the league.

The Minnesota Timberwolves lead the NBA in defensive rating so far this season and have held opponents to just 106.3 points per game. Not only do the T-Wolves prevent teams from scoring points, they minimize their opponents’ assists as well, allowing 24.3 assists per game, the second-fewest in the league. They also cover the three-point line well, holding opposing shooters to 34.9% from beyond the arc.

Statmuse Timberwolves Defense Rating

Coming back from a lower-body injury and facing the best defense in the NBA could spell trouble for De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings. Though he’s dimed off more than six assists in each of his last six games, his season average sits at just 5.6 assists per game on the year. I believe he’ll struggle to reach that tonight against the stingy T-Wolves.

NBA Player Prop Pick: De’Aaron Fox Under 5.5 Assists -110 on DraftKings

Cade Cunningham Player Prop

The woeful Detroit Pistons will play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday evening, and we’re projecting Cade Cunningham to have a tough scoring night against one of the best defensive units in the NBA. Even though Cunningham has topped this total in all four games since the All-Star Break, OddsShopper Premium suggests that Cunningham’s hot streak will come to an end tonight. This season, the model has an ROI of 8.6% on all NBA player prop bets wagered 12 hours before tip this season. For more information about the prop markets the model is beating the most, check out our breakdown!

Our NBA betting tools are showing that PointsBet offers the best odds on Cunningham under 23.5 points, offering -120 odds when the true odds are listed at -135. Meanwhile, Pinnacle, a sharp book, lists the under 23.5 for -165, a massive discrepancy. OddsShopper calculates true odds by indexing odds available at all books and adjusting for book sharpness and hold.

Ivica Zubac Player Prop

NBA Defensive statistics leaders

There’s no better defense in the NBA to attack this season than the Washington Wizards. Not only do the Wizards rank dead last in defensive rating, the squad also has the fastest pace of any NBA team so far this season. Matched up against the host Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, the Wizards are on the second leg of a back-to-back, having lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in a tight game last night.

Zubac is listed as questionable after missing Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers with an illness, but will likely play a full contingent of minutes if he does suit up.

Zubac has topped this total of points and rebounds combined in each of his last four outings, earning at least 27 minutes in each of those games. In games in which Zubac plays at least 25 minutes, the Croatian center has gone over this total seven consecutive times. Since trading away Daniel Gafford to the Dallas Mavericks on February 9, the Wizards have struggled to defend opposing centers. Anthony Davis, Jarrett Allen and Chet Holmgren have each dominated the Washington defense within the past few games. Even Gafford (who averages just 10.8 ppg and 8.0 rebounds per game) put up 16 points and 17 rebounds in just 24 minutes against his former team.

NBA Player Prop Pick: Ivica Zubac Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds -115 on bet365
