No House Advantage NBA Prop Bets: Jayson Tatum Will Go Off on Struggling Bulls Defense (October 24)

An eight-game NBA slate leaves plenty of options to consider on No House Advantage. Let’s try to narrow down the field by highlighting some favorable options to consider. Also, be sure to check out Stokastic’s NBA Player Props Tool to help pick props.

NBA No House Advantage Props: Oct. 24

James Harden, PHI vs. IND: Over 36.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

The 76ers are off to a surprising 0-3 start. Harden has played well despite their struggles, averaging 26.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 9.3 assists. He looks to be in better shape and he’s played a ton, logging at least 37 minutes in all three games.

With Harden playing so many minutes and having the ball in his hands so much, he’s had at least 37 combined points, rebounds and assists in two of three games. The one time he failed to reach that threshold, he finished with 33 combined while shooting just 4-for-18 from the field. The Pacers have allowed an average of 122.0 points per game, so Harden could blow past the over here.

Jayson Tatum, BOS at CHI: Over 25.5 Points

Tatum averaged 26.9 points and 3.0 3-pointers per game last season, both of which were the best marks of his career. He had a 32.1% usage rate and entered this season in the same role as one of the Celtics’ top scorers. Through three games, he has a 32.0% usage rate and scored at least 29 points each time.

The Bulls are off to a 1-2 start and just allowed 128 points Saturday to a Cavaliers team that was missing Darius Garland (eye). They aren’t as tough defensively with Lonzo Ball (knee) out, which could set up Tatum and the Celtics for an offensive explosion. The NBA Player Props Tool has Tatum projected to score 29.03 points.

Lauri Markkanen, UTA at HOU: Over 15.5 Points

Markkanen has gone from a Cavaliers team that was loaded with frontcourt players to a Jazz team that has just begun a rebuilding process. He’s one of their best frontcourt options, which has propelled him to average 37 minutes over their first three games. He’s also one of their best shooters, which has resulted in him averaging 17.3 shot attempts.

With Markkanen playing so much and taking so many shot attempts, he has scored at least 17 points in all three games. This scoring prop being set so low is a bit surprising. Another factor that makes the over appealing is that the Rockets have allowed 123.7 points per game.

Jordan Clarkson, UTA at HOU: Over 3.5 Assists

This game between the Jazz and Rockets has the potential to be high scoring, so Markkanen’s isn’t the only prop to target. Clarkson has moved into the starting five with Donovan Mitchell gone. He only averaged 27 minutes per game last season, but he’s averaged 34 minutes through their first three games this season.

Clarkson is known for his scoring prowess, but he’s also a good passer. With him playing so much out of the gate, he has at least five assists in all three games. The Jazz just played Sunday, so they might give veteran Mike Conley the night off. If they do, Clarkson would be tasked to run the Jazz offense. Even if Conley plays, though, Clarkson has shown that he can rack up assists in bunches in his new role.
