Anthony Davis o25.5 Points (NBA Player Prop)
We’re starting off with a guy who is in an absolute dream spot. Anthony Davis only needs 26 points to cash this bet against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
AD has played 29 games against the Thunder, and he averages 27.1 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
Now, let’s take at his 11 games vs the Thunder as a member of the Lakers:
- 27 points
- 26 points
- 31 points
- 37 points
- 13 points
- 29 points
- 30 points
- 18 points
- 9 points
- 33 points
- 34 points
So, as a member of the Lakers, Davis is averaging … biiiiig reveal … just a shade over 26 points per game against the Thunder. Which, by my math, would put us in the green.
Two more quick nuggets. Over OKC’s last 15 games, the team has allowed over 25 points per game to opposing centers. And, if you drill down to the Thunder’s last seven games, that number goes up to almost 30.
In a meaningful matchup, this feels like the spot for AD to get after it down low against a team that doesn’t have the bigs to withstand his size and strength.
John Collins o9.5 Rebounds (NBA Player Prop)
This is mainly a matchup play, as John Collins and the Utah Jazz play the Washington Wizards tonight.
If there’s one thing we know about the Wizards — other than they’re a complete dumpster fire of an NBA team — is that they are atrocious on the glass. They rank dead last in the NBA in rebounds per game.
Collins is a strong rebounder and has averaged 10.5 rebounds per game over his last 10 games.
In those 10 games, Collins has gone for 10-plus rebounds six times and finished on the hook in one other.
Collins had a sultry 16 rebounds in his last game against the Wizards earlier this season. And, what makes me feel even better about this prop bet is that was when the Wizards STILL HAD Daniel Gafford.
Now, Washington is rolling out the corpse of Marvin Bagley III at center for around 30 minutes a night.
I like the spot for Collins here, especially given the Wizards’ constant struggles on the glass.
