PrizePicks NBA Player Predictions: Kawhi Leonard & More

Kawhi Leonard M/L Than 37.5 Points + Assists + Rebounds

We’re starting this week with a prediction for Kawhi Leonard in the upcoming Los Angeles ClippersMilwaukee Bucks game. The Clippers are playing away, and it’s a back-to-back game.

A significant update for the Clippers is that Russell Westbrook has broken his hand and will be out for a while. However, I don’t see this affecting Kawhi Leonard significantly. The data does not indicate a major change in Leonard’s performance when Westbrook is not on the floor.

Looking at the current situation, I think the predicted line is slightly too high for Leonard. I’ve allocated him 36 minutes, which seems realistic for such a high-level matchup against the Bucks. However, I can’t get my projections to match these rates.

The Bucks are slightly above average in terms of defense at the moment — nothing exceptional, but not bad, either. They maintain a relatively normal pace. Given these average conditions for the Bucks, I believe the line overestimates Kawhi’s performance slightly.

Karl-Anthony Towns M/L Than 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

We’re looking at more than 30.5 points, rebounds, and assists for Karl-Anthony Towns. This is our strategy to secure a win. I love this opportunity for Towns, and we could approach it in several ways.

Firstly, this feels like the type of matchup in which Towns thrives. He’s at home, facing the Portland Trail Blazers — an underperforming team. They may or may not have Deandre Ayton tonight, but either way, I don’t think it affects our strategy much. However, it does look even more promising for Towns if Ayton is absent.

With Jerami Grant also potentially out, the Portland Trail Blazers are not at their best. I believe this is the type of game that Towns will excel in. I project him to score 33.1 points, rebounds, and assists, which is 2.5 above the target.

Considering he plays about 34 minutes every single night, this one seems straightforward. Towns should take advantage of a weak matchup and lead us to victory on Monday.
