Naturally, folks are going to check James Harden’s status closely for this game since Russell Westbrook is already out and Harden missing will leave a lot of ball handling up for grabs. Case is point, Harden did not play yesterday against Chicago and George racked up seven assists and 40 points + rebounds + assists (PRA). It’s a reasonable position to take, and there is no real indication either way on where Harden is leaning.
But this is a rough back-to-back for the Clippers. For one, the Pelicans are fighting Los Angeles for the fourth seed in the West, but more than that, Chicago to New Orleans is not exactly a short trip. George has also had mixed success on back-to-backs this year, as he hit this over the last time he played the second of two straight but fell short the three prior times.
