Franz Wagner H/L 23.5 Points

The Orlando Magic are 10-point home favorites over the Detroit Pistons, who have not won a game since Oct. 28. That’s 18 straight losses. Franz Wagner is averaging 20.4 points per game and 22.4 at home. Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter Jr. are still out for Orlando, and we can add Jalen Suggs to that list for tonight, giving Wagner 25.7% usage. He’s scored 25.2 over his last five without Fultz, and he gets a great matchup tonight.

Detroit ranks 21st on the season in opponent points in the paint (PIP). Over its last 10 games, it has dropped to 27th. A big reason has been Jalen Duren missing time. Well, he’s out again tonight, opening the door for lots of scoring in the paint. Wagner leads the team with 12.8 PIP over the last 10 games and ranks 18th in the NBA on the season.

Eric Gordon H/L 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Eric Gordon gets a favorable matchup in pace-up spot against the Kings with a tight spread and a 235 total. Now, he’s averaging just 19.5 points + rebounds + assists on the season but as a secondary player behind Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Phoenix will play without Durant and Grayson Allen tonight. The projected starting lineup alongside Booker and Gordon is Josh Okogie, Keita Bates-Diop and Jusuf Nurkic. Gordon gets a massive usage bump without Allen and Durant on court. The Suns have played the last two games with this line00,up and Gordon was the only other player beside Booker to attempt more than 10 field goals.

Coby White H/L 5 Assists

Using OddsShopper’s Positive EV Bets tool I landed on the over for Coby Whites assist prop after seeing most books have this at 5.5. With Zach LaVine to miss another game, White gets a big usage bump and a 4% assist rate increase. In the four games without LaVine, White is averaging 5.8 assists and has recorded at least five in each game, averaging 39.8 minutes per game. In those games he’s averaging 10.8 potential assists.

The opportunity will be there, and tonight he gets to take advantage of that in a favorable matchup against the Spurs. This is a pace-up spot against San Antonio, who runs 102.63 possessions per game. The Spurs rank 27th in defensive rating and allow the third-most assists in the NBA.
