Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Predictions Today: Jaylen Brown Turning It Over? (May 21)

The Boston Celtics currently sit laying 10 against the visiting Indiana Pacers. Not the biggest vote of confidence by any means for a Pacers squad that outlasted the Knicks in a battle of attrition. The Celtics just keep winning; doing in their way and with their tempo. Things should prove tough for the Pacers unless Boston finds a way to start slow or just let down. We found great value in the Underdog streets, here is your top 3x card of the night!

It’s a simple question at Underdog Fantasy: Choose if a player will finish higher or lower their current projection. Build anywhere from two to six legs. Here are the top two plays from Underdog — getting 3x back on a winning ticket. OddsShopper has an Underdog Fantasy optimizer tool designed to help you build winning entries

Tyrese Haliburton H/L Than 19.5 Points

Things wont come easy this series for Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers star guard gutted out some serious performances, trying to keep up with Jalen Brunson. Now, he has two superstars on the other side, making it incredibly difficult to carry a team. Boston isn’t going to allow Haliburton to beat them, especially by dropping 30. Haliburton’s better off looking to attack and dish, as both Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner may benefit from some spacing.

Then there’s the tempo. Boston can play small, they can push it, but have zero issue freezing the pace. While Indy survived a series where some games felt slower against the Knicks, both teams still pushed the total in at least four games. This isn’t the first round. The Celtics have been pushing for a return to the NBA Finals all year, and will look their sharpest in Game 1. That means a higher intensity on the defensive side of the floor, keeping Haliburton LOWER than 19.5 points.

Jaylen Brown H/L Than 2.5 Turnovers

I always love jumping on the turnovers market, mainly because few sports books offer it, and we get a favorable number at Underdog. Jaylen Brown took care of the ball to start the Cavs series, but it’s hard to change stripes. The old Brown returned, as did handing back the basketball to his opponent.

We saw Brown over 3 turnovers a game in the previous round, and in the regular season. The matchups don’t seem to matter as much as time on the floor. The Celtics would truly have to pummel this Pacers team by 40+ to see starters sit early. We should anticipate Boston running their top duo 35+ minutes each, with Brown inching towards 40.

That’s just a lot of time on the floor for someone that’s turnover prone. It’s hard to pinpoint where or how they will come, but we know over time, they certainly come – often in bunches. Don’t be shocked to see Brown have a monster game, impacting multiple areas in 40 minutes of work. We know with hard work comes turnovers, at least for Brown.
